San Francisco Museum and Historical Society cordially invites you to save the date for our 2008 Standing Ovations gala - ROCKIN’ THE MINT. This celebratory event will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at the Old Mint— San Francisco.
ROCKIN’ THE MINT will honor and present some of the music legends of San Francisco and recreate four of the city’s famed music halls. You will be transported to the stages of The Warfield, the Great American Music Hall, the legendary Winterland Ballroom and the jazzy Black Hawk nightclub. SFMHS will present an evening of musical fanfare, cuisine, song and culture.

The annual Standing Ovations gala is the most important fundraiser supporting SFMHS’s annual list of programs and lectures. Realizing a bold, new vision for the Old Mint, SFMHS is also the force behind the Mint Project, which will transform San Francisco’s most significant architectural treasure into a cutting edge 21st century museum celebrating San Francisco and the Bay Area.
